12/3/2014 - Added Recycling Collection for Residents Normally Receiving Thursday Recycling Collection to Take Place THIS FRIDAY, December 5th

Added Recycling Collection for Residents Normally Receiving Thursday Recycling Collection to Take Place THIS FRIDAY, December 5th

An additional Recycling Collection for residents who normally receive Recycling Collection on Thursdays will take place THIS FRIDAY, December 5th.

This special additional collection seeks to accommodate residents who may have inadvertently missed the holiday “make up” recycling collection last weekend.

The Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) administers/coordinates the recycling collection that services all Hamilton residents.  On July 1, 2014, the Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) changed the collection schedule for some Hamilton residents, as well as changed the “make up” collection days for holidays (which moved from Sundays to Saturdays).  http://www.mcia-nj.com/controls/NewsFeed.aspx?FeedID=79  This change occurred well after the printing of the 2014 Township Calendar.

To help publicize this information for the benefit of Hamiltonians, residents can find notices regarding changes to routine collection schedules on the Hamilton Township website (www.HamiltonNJ.com) or on the Township’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts.  Additionally, Hamilton offers residents a free E-mail Newsletter service, which residents can sign up for through the Township website.  Finally, because the Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) administers/coordinates recycling collection, information can be found on the authority’s website (www.mcia-nj.com).
