Postpone Saturday’s (Tomorrow’s) Rabies Clinic
With weather forecasts calling for snow
tomorrow, Hamilton Township will be postponing
Saturday’s (January 24th) free rabies immunization clinic for residents’ dogs
A rescheduled date for this postponed rabies clinic has not
yet been determined, but Township officials plan to announce a rescheduled
clinic date in the near future.
Hamilton’s next regularly scheduled rabies clinic will be
held on Saturday, February 28th
at the McManimon Township Building
located at 320 Scully Avenue,
between the hours of 9 AM and 12 PM (Noon). Additional rabies clinics are also scheduled
for March, June and September.
Note for Directions: The McManimon Building at 320 Scully Avenue is located off
of Olden Avenue, between Liberty Street and Cedar Lane, opposite the Olden
As a courtesy, the clinic is open to pets of Township residents only (proof of residency is required), and is
free of charge.
For residents utilizing this Hamilton Township service, all
dogs must be leashed. As a safety
precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary. All cats must arrive in a carrier.
In response to the rabies epidemic in our wildlife, the New
Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every 2
years, even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period. 2015 Dog Licenses will not be issued if a
pet’s rabies immunization expires before November 1, 2015.
