1/23/2015 - Hamilton to Postpone Saturday’s (Tomorrow’s) Rabies Clinic

Hamilton to Postpone Saturday’s (Tomorrow’s) Rabies Clinic

With weather forecasts calling for snow tomorrow, Hamilton Township will be postponing Saturday’s (January 24th) free rabies immunization clinic for residents’ dogs and cats.

A rescheduled date for this postponed rabies clinic has not yet been determined, but Township officials plan to announce a rescheduled clinic date in the near future.

Hamilton’s next regularly scheduled rabies clinic will be held on Saturday, February 28th at the McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue, between the hours of 9 AM and 12 PM (Noon).  Additional rabies clinics are also scheduled for March, June and September.

Note for Directions: The McManimon Building at 320 Scully Avenue is located off of Olden Avenue, between Liberty Street and Cedar Lane, opposite the Olden Pharmacy.

As a courtesy, the clinic is open to pets of Township residents only (proof of residency is required), and is free of charge.

For residents utilizing this Hamilton Township service, all dogs must be leashed.  As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary.  All cats must arrive in a carrier.

In response to the rabies epidemic in our wildlife, the New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every 2 years, even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period.  2015 Dog Licenses will not be issued if a pet’s rabies immunization expires before November 1, 2015.

The new 2015 Dog License Application is now available.  A copy of the form is in the center (inside the middle two pages of the "How Do I Get Rid Of It...??? insert section) of the 2015 Hamilton Township Calendar.  An electronic version of the 2015 Dog License Application is also available on the Township website (www.HamiltonNJ.com) or by CLICKING HERE
