    Secondary Road Plowing Information

    Sunday, February 22, 2015

ü  PLOWING SECONDARY ROADS TO BEGIN AT 8 AM

The plowing of secondary (neighborhood) roads will begin at approximately 8 am today (Sunday).

ü  PLEASE REMOVE AUTOMOBILES FROM ROAD CURBSIDES, IF POSSIBLE, AS A COURTESY TO PLOWING CREWS AND YOUR FELLOW NEIGHBORS

To assist our plowing crews, please remove all automobile from the road/road curbsides if possible.  This will help our plowing crews complete plowing faster and remove more snow from the road, which benefits you, your neighbors and all residents.

    ü  SNOW PLOW SAL APP

The feature gives an estimation of when your street (secondary road) will be plowed (plowing may occur earlier than the listed time).  The application will begin to provide estimated times when the plowing of secondary roads begins.  Remember to enter your house number when entering your address.

NOTE: Some areas may initially provide an estimate time of “TBD” (to be determined) until plowing begins in the first portion of an overall snow zone.  This helps to provide a more accurate estimation of when your street will be plowed.

ü  PREVENT DRIVEWAYS BEING PLOWED BACK IN

Waiting until after your road is plowed to shovel your driveway apron is the best way to avoid your driveway being plowed back in.  If you chose to shovel your driveway apron before your road is plowed, the diagram in the following link is a helpful guide: http://www.hamiltonnj.com/filestorage/83873/84056/How-to-Plow-Your-Driveway-Apron.pdf
