First Phase of Mercer Street Repaving Project to Begin on Monday, March
The repaving of a heavily traveled
Hamilton road used by many residents and area commuters is set to begin next
Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly Yaede
announced that beginning this Monday, March 30th, the first in a
two-part repaving project of Mercer Street will begin.
The first portion of the project
will involve the milling and repaving of Mercer Street from Nottingham Way to
Hughes Drive. Weather permitting, the
project should take three days to complete.
During the repaving, detours will be in place; however some motorists may
wish to avoid this area during the first phase of the project.
Later next month, township
officials will conduct a bid for the repaving of the second portion of Mercer
Street, from Hughes Drive to Hamilton’s border with Robbinsville (near Flock Road),
which should allow the project to be completed this summer.
