What’s Your Favorite Spot in Hamilton?

Hamilton Wants to Know in Annual Calendar Photo Contest

“So, what’s your favorite spot in Hamilton?”

Mayor Kelly Yaede and Township officials want to know your favorite public spot in the community…along with a picture and a reason why.

It’s all a part of the Township’s annual Photo Contest for the upcoming 2016 Hamilton Township Municipal Government Calendar.

“With our community’s wonderful parks, beautiful historic homes and the many great public areas across our community, Hamilton is home to so many ‘special spots’ that our residents enjoy.  I look forward to seeing what spots are our residents’ favorites in this year’s photo contest,” says Mayor Kelly Yaede.

Residents are asked to submit electronic pictures meeting the following contest requirements:

  • Favorite public or community area within the Township (such as a public park, lake, historic home, recreational area, community center or preserved open-space area)
  • Quality Picture Resolution – Please make sure your submission meets the quality standards of at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) or minimum dimensions of 3000 x 2400 pixels, as poor resolution may result in our inability to feature your photograph
  • Remember to Provide Your Reason – we want to know why it is your favorite spot, in 15 words or less
  • 3 Picture Limit – please limit submissions to a maximum of 3 photographs
  • Remember to Sign Contest Disclaimer Form – We thank you for signing and returning the form, available online at, giving permission to feature your photograph in the calendar
  • No pictures of private businesses, please – In fairness to the generous local businesses that support the annual calendar through paid advertisements, submissions featuring private businesses (such as a specific restaurant, retail store or company) will not be considered

As in past years, a selection committee will help determine the submissions that will be featured in the 2016 Township Calendar.  Submitters will be credited for their photographs, which will be displayed along with the reasons the location is their favorite community spot.

Photographs must be submitted electronically (via E-mail attachment) to no later than Friday, October 16, 2015.

“I want to thank our residents for playing an important role, as they do each year, in helping to create our beautiful annual Township calendar,” says Mayor Yaede.
