POLICE NOTICE - SUSPICIOUS FIRE - NOVEMBER 4, 2015
On Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 12:52 p.m., Officers K. Rutherford, T. White, H. Markowski and Sgt. R. Colletti responded to a report of a structure fire on the 2300 block of S. Clinton Avenue, Hamilton, NJ. Upon arrival the officers observed a heavy smoke condition coming from the second floor of the residence. The residence is an abandoned property and no persons were located at the residence at the time of the fire. The fire damage was isolated to the second floor of the structure.
Multiple fire districts from Hamilton Township responded to the scene and were able to place the fire under control. One firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries while engaged in firefighting duties at the scene.
The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation by Detective Matthew Bagley of Hamilton Police Division’s Criminal Investigations Section along with Det. Marc Masseroni from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
