2/24/2016 - Severe Weather Advisory for This Evening (Wednesday, February 24, 2016)

Severe Weather Advisory for This Evening
(Wednesday, February 24, 2016)

As rain continues throughout this evening, our area is expected to be impacted by thunderstorms that are likely to include strong winds (sustained winds of between 15 mph – 25 mph, with wind gusts between 30 mph – 45 mph possible).  Due to ground saturation from rain throughout the day, fallen trees and downed power lines are possible.

Hamilton’s Office of Emergency Management will be monitoring conditions throughout the evening.  Hamilton’s Department of Public Works will be mobilized to address any fallen trees that may impact or block roadways in coordination with PSE&G crews that may first need to address fallen or impacted power lines.  Mayor Yaede and Hamilton’s Office of Emergency Management urge residents to exercise caution during and immediately following the storm.
