Hamilton’s Happy Days Camp Delivers Smiles with Help from Home Depot

For almost 40 years, Hamilton’s Happy Days Camp has provided a great summer camp program for special needs children.  Recently, thanks to some help from The Home Depot, smiles were brought to the program’s children through The Home Depot’s Kids Workshop Program.

Through the program, The Home Depot generously donated materials to allow Hamilton’s Happy Days campers to make and paint their own tool boxes.  The program, which The Home Depot has also provided to local Hamilton schools, was a popular activity for the young campers.

“Our Happy Days Camp continues to be a wonderful and popular program for our community’s special needs children.  I want to thank The Home Depot for generously supporting the camp through their Kids Workshop Program,” said Mayor Kelly Yaede.

Hamilton’s Happy Days Camp is part of its many summer camp offerings organized through the Township’s Division of Recreation.  The camp is a six week long program held at Switlik Park for special needs children between the ages of 5 and 9 years old.  Children participating in the program must first receive a teacher recommendation before being screened for the special needs camp.
