Kelly Yaede is inviting residents to join her and members of the Mercer County
Italian American community as they celebrate Italian-American culture with Hamilton’s
annual Italian Flag Raising Ceremony.
Italian Flag Raising Ceremony will take
place on Monday, October 3rd beginning
with a ceremony at 12 p.m. Noon outside
of the Hamilton Township Municipal
Building (located at 2090 Greenwood Avenue).
and special guests participating in the ceremony will include Mayor Kelly
Yaede, Mercer County Italian American Festival Association President - John
Scarpati, the 2016 Columbus
Day Gala Honorees – Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri and Eugene Forconi,
Proprietor of Forconi Foods in Trenton, NJ, Columbus Day Gala Chairman - Frank
D. Bruno, Pastor Emeritus of St. Michael Church in Trenton, NJ and St. George
Church, Titusville - Rev. Monsignor James J. Innocenzi, Honorary Vice Consul to Italy in Trenton
Emeritus - Dr. Gilda Rorro-Baldassari, and members of the Marine Corps League -

local ethnic organizations to honor the many ethnic groups that make up
Hamilton Township and have so greatly contributed to the community. The Italian flag raising ceremony, at the
request of the Mercer County Italian American Festival Association, continues
this longstanding tradition.

Township Council Chambers, while the Italian Flag will subsequently be raised outside
once the inclement weather subsides.
