Hamilton Township will hold its next free rabies immunization clinic of
2017 for residents' dogs and cats on Saturday, February 11th at the
McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue from 9
AM until Noon.
Note for Directions: The
McManimon Building at 320 Scully Avenue is located off of Olden Avenue, between
Liberty Street and Cedar Lane, opposite the Olden Pharmacy.
As a courtesy, the clinic is open to pets of Township residents only
(proof a residency is required), and is free of charge. For
residents utilizing this Hamilton Township service, all dogs must be
leashed. As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if
necessary. All cats must arrive in a carrier.
Following the February 11th clinic, Hamilton's next rabies clinic will
be held on March 4th with additional clinics scheduled for June and September.
In response to the rabies epidemic in our wildlife, the New Jersey
Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every 2 years,
even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period. 2017 Dog Licenses
will not be issued if a pet's rabies immunization expires before November 1,

The 2017 Dog License Application is
available online via a link of the Township Health Division's website (HamiltonNJ.com/Health) along
with the full 2017 rabies clinic schedule.
Additionally, a dog license application is
attached to the middle of the 2017 Hamilton Township Calendar.
As a reminder, annual dog license applications
are due by March
31st (by 4 PM).
for the licenses are $8 for a Spayed or Neutered dog and $11 for a
Non-Spayed or Neutered dog. Seniors over the age of 65 (verified
with an ID) enjoy a discounted license cost at $2 for a Spayed or
Neutered dog and $5 for a Non-Spayed or Neutered dog.
