Weather
Advisory for Tuesday, March 14, 2017
Beginning late Monday evening and continuing through Tuesday
afternoon, forecast models indicate with high confidence that Winter Storm
Stella will likely produce between 16 – 20
inches of snow for our area. If
sleet mixes in with the snow, final accumulations could be slightly reduced.
High winds, including wind
gusts between 30 – 45 mph are expected.
Prepare for Possible Power
Outages
Due to the expected high winds, be prepared for power outages:
- Report Power
Outages or Downed Powerlines to PSE&G:
Please Move Vehicles Off
Road
·
We are asking
residents to voluntarily NOT park along road curbsides (please move vehicles into driveways or onto
properties, if possible) until plowing
operations have been completed
o
Please note some roads (marked with signage) specifically
prohibit parking during snowfall
Snow Plowing
Expectations
·
The plowing of neighborhood roads will
not begin until after snowfall ends and
until primary roads are clear
·
Neighborhood roads will NOT be
down to asphalt following plowing (plowing efforts intend to make
neighborhood roads passable for motor vehicles)
·
This storm will produce significant snow
accumulation that is heavy and will be difficult to plow. Residents should expect the plowing of
neighborhood roads to continue throughout Wednesday (i.e. into the evening).
