In addition to the Hamilton Township Patriotic Committee and Mayor Yaede, the ceremony will include participation by Hamilton Township Police Honor Guard, Trenton Ancient Order Hibernians Pipe and Drum Band, VFW Post #491 – Yardville, New Jersey Submarine Veterans South, Marine Corp. League – Trenton Detachment, the Twin Pines Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary,  Boy Scout Troop # 91,  American Legion Posts #31 and  #313, Disabled Veterans Chapter #41, VFW Post # 3525, Viet Nam Veterans United and Viet Nam Combat Veterans Coalition.  The Steinert High School Select Choir under the Direction of Richard Schneider will also perform at the ceremony.

Also taking place during the observance will be the laying of a memorial wreath that was generously provided by Petal Pushers, along with a rifle salute to honor fallen member of the US Armed Forces and the unveiling of recently installed patriotic bricks.

“We are very fortunate for the sacrifices that the members of our United States Armed Forces make to protect our freedom; and I invite our community to join us as we honor our active duty military, along with many of our local veterans that will be present for our ceremony,” says Mayor Kelly Yaede.

Following the ceremony, Mayor Yaede and members of the Patriotic Committee will head to Veterans Park’s DeMeo Field (inside Kuser Road Entrance of Veterans Park) where Mayor Yaede will throw out the first pitch for a triple header of high school baseball games that day featuring all three of Hamilton’s public school teams.  To recognize Armed Forces Day, Hamilton’s three high school teams will wear camouflage caps.
