Church Street (CR 609) Road Repair Project Conducted by Mercer County Government
On or about Tuesday, May 30, 2017, milling resurfacing work will begin on Church Street (CR 609) from South Broad Street to Main Street in Hamilton Township. Mercer County anticipates this work will take approximately fourteen (14) working days, weather permitting, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Mercer County proposes to complete the milling and resurfacing of Church Street in two (2) stages. The first stage would include the section from South Broad Street to US Route 130. During this time, the section of Church Street between US 130 and Main Street will be completed. Church Street will be closed to through traffic and motorists will be directed to use NJ Route 156, South Broad Street and Main Street.
During the second stage, the road will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be posted directing motorists to use South Broad Street and Main Street. New Jersey Route 156 will be fully accessible during construction. Local Access and access for emergency vehicles will be accommodated during construction. Full, unrestricted access would be permitted during non-working hours.
Mercer County staff will post signs prior to the start date advising motorists of upcoming road work.
This project is being completed by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
