7/13/2017 - Tax Bills Will Be Delayed Due to Finalization of State Education Aid

Tax Bills Will Be Delayed Due to Finalization of State Education Aid

All Mercer County towns, including Hamilton, are currently unable to mail property tax bills that would normally be due on August 1, 2017, due to the ongoing finalization of state education aid following the delayed approval of the State Budget (which could impact the Mercer County portion of residents’ bills).

Therefore, Hamilton Township wants to inform residents of this delay and advise that the grace period for payment without late fees will be extended.

The new grace period must be determined from the date that bills are mailed (although the tax bills must still list August 1st as the “due date”).

Hamilton Township officials will remain in contact with the Mercer County Tax Administrator’s Office so that we can update residents as soon as possible.

Once finalized, Hamilton Township will publicly announce the new grace period extension on its website (HamiltonNJ.com) and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and E-mail Newsletter).

Also after finalization, residents will be able to use HamiltonNJ.com/PayOnline to access property tax bill information and to make online payments.
