Advisory for January 17, 2018
At the time of this update, forecasts indicate the
probability of a mix of rain and snow
precipitation beginning around midnight
and then turning entirely into snow during the early morning hours of Wednesday,
January 17, 2018. Current forecasts
anticipate an end to snowfall around or just after Noon on Wednesday.
At the time of this notice, 1 to 2 inches of snowfall is forecasted for our area; however lower
amounts of snow are expected to remain on roads due to pavement temperatures.
Road pavement temperatures are expected to hover around the
freezing mark during the early to late morning hours of Wednesday before rising
above freezing midday.
Residents should exercise caution if traveling during and/or
following snowfall due to the possibility of icy conditions.
In preparation for this storm, Township crews have been
applying brine on primary roadways. Hamilton's Department of Public Works and
Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor this winter storm.
