Mayor Nominates Local Pastor Pursuing Business Degree to Hamilton Township Economic Development Commission
Mayor Yaede has nominated Dr.
Joseph E. Woods, the Pastor of Saint Phillips Baptist Church in Hamilton, to
serve on the commission.
Since 2010, Dr. Woods has served as
pastor for his congregation at Saint Phillips Church. In addition to his four collegiate degrees,
Dr. Woods is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration in
Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.
Dr. Woods is also the founder of the
Higher Ground Association of Baptist Churches, Inc., is a former Civil Rights
Commissioner for Montclair, NJ, as well as a former Housing Authority
Commissioner for Morris County, NJ, and was formerly both the General Secretary
and State Director for Christian Education for the General Baptist State
Convention of NJ. Additionally, Dr.
Woods is a Board Member of the John O. Wilson Neighborhood Service Center in

here in Hamilton, as well as all Hamiltonians, led to my interest in serving on
the Economic Development Advisory Commission,” says Dr. Woods. “I would like thank Mayor Yaede for this nomination

goals to provide economic opportunities across Hamilton Township.”
