IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NOTICE UPDATE – Quakerbridge Rd

A gas-leak issue in the area of Quakerbridge Rd has resulted in a road CLOSURE and detours until further notice.

Repair efforts will continue well into this evening (Wednesday, November 14, 2018) and motorists should attempt to avoid this area if possible.

Traffic is currently being detoured in the following manner:

Quakerbridge Rd South Bound Traffic:  Vehicles Taking Nami Ln to Thomas J Rhodes Dr to Quakerbridge Plaza Dr back to Quakerbridge Rd
 
Quakerbridge Rd North Bound Traffic: Vehicles Taking Flock Rd to Edinburg Rd to Hughes Dr. (and eventually back to Quakerbridge Rd)

TRAFFIC NOTICE UPDATE – St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton Rescheduled to Saturday, March 24th

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has postponed this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade due to the ongoing, storm-related utility issues that have impacted Mercer Street, where the parade stages and begins, and surrounding areas.  These storm-related utility issues have led to the closing of Mercer Street.

Therefore, the rescheduled date for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton will be Saturday, March 24, 2018. 

The opening ceremony for the parade will begin at 12:30 PM at Nottingham Fire Company (on Mercer Street), while the parade begin at 1 PM.  The parade route begins at Mercer Street and continues to Nottingham Way and toward Mercerville’s “Five Points” intersection, ending at Getz Ave.  Traffic detours and road closures will occur prior to the event.  Therefore, motorists may wish to avoid the areas surrounding the parade route on Saturday, March 24th.
