3/9/2018 - TRAFFIC NOTICE UPDATE – St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton Rescheduled to Saturday, March 24th

TRAFFIC NOTICE UPDATE – St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton Rescheduled to Saturday, March 24th

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has postponed this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade due to the ongoing, storm-related utility issues that have impacted Mercer Street, where the parade stages and begins, and surrounding areas.  These storm-related utility issues have led to the closing of Mercer Street.

Therefore, the rescheduled date for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hamilton will be Saturday, March 24, 2018.

The opening ceremony for the parade will begin at 12:30 PM at Nottingham Fire Company (on Mercer Street), while the parade begin at 1 PM.  The parade route begins at Mercer Street and continues to Nottingham Way and toward Mercerville’s “Five Points” intersection, ending at Getz Ave.  Traffic detours and road closures will occur prior to the event.  Therefore, motorists may wish to avoid the areas surrounding the parade route on Saturday, March 24th.
