IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NOTICE UPDATE – Quakerbridge Rd

A gas-leak issue in the area of Quakerbridge Rd has resulted in a road CLOSURE and detours until further notice.

Repair efforts will continue well into this evening (Wednesday, November 14, 2018) and motorists should attempt to avoid this area if possible.

Traffic is currently being detoured in the following manner:

Quakerbridge Rd South Bound Traffic:  Vehicles Taking Nami Ln to Thomas J Rhodes Dr to Quakerbridge Plaza Dr back to Quakerbridge Rd
 
Quakerbridge Rd North Bound Traffic: Vehicles Taking Flock Rd to Edinburg Rd to Hughes Dr. (and eventually back to Quakerbridge Rd) 

PSE&G continues to be on site and responding to this issue.

There’s a lot more than books at our Hamilton Township Public Library…

And in May, Mayor Kelly Yaede invites residents to enjoy some of these great programs and events that will take place at the Library.   

 

Bromley’s Woodlawn Park

Monday, May 7

7 p.m.

The Historical Society of Hamilton Township presents Tom Glover, using the extensive Hamilton Library digital local history database, to illustrate the heyday of that little known amusement park that was located in Bromley at Greenwood and South Logan Avenues. 

Free and open to the public.

 

Movie Matinees

Throughout May

Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.

Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.

Baby Rock ‘n’ Rhyme

Monday, May 7

9:30 - 9:55 a.m. or 10:15 - 10:40 a.m.

Babies 12 – 24 months attend with a caregiver for this program of songs, rhymes, and very simple stories.

May 1 & 8 (Tuesdays)

9:30 - 10:15 a.m. 

Children 3 ½ to 5 years old attend independently. 

Enjoy stories, action rhymes, songs and games, followed by a craft.

Art Workshop with April Zay

Tuesday, May 8

10 – 11 a.m.

Kids Grades K – 5 old may attend.

Using a template as a guide, students will draw a vase of sunflowers or daisies. Students will add watercolor and ripped paper to create a colorful mixed medium painting, as the perfect gift for mom or grandma on Mother's Day!

Registration begins Monday, April 30.  Patrons may register in person or call 609-581-4060, ext. 4020.  Space is limited.

May 2 & 9 (Wednesdays)

May 3 & 10 (Thursdays)

9:30 – 10 a.m. or 10:30 - 11 a.m.

Children 2 – 3 ½ years attend with a caregiver.

Saturday Storytime

Children of all ages are invited to attend, no registration required!

 

Preschool Art Workshop with April Zay

Wednesday, May 23

10 – 11 a.m.

Kids 3 – 5 years old may attend.

Participants will draw heart pictures on sand paper with oil pastels, then mix and use a special paint that dries to look like chalk.

The Hamilton Township Public Library is located at 1 Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. Way, Hamilton, NJ 08619 (behind the Hamilton Township Police Division Headquarters and Municipal Court Complex. 

 

The Library is open to residents Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.  Hamilton’s Library is closed on Sunday. 

 

In addition to over 181,000 books and 300 magazine and periodical subscriptions, Hamilton’s Library also offers: Recorded books on CD, Music CDs, eBooks and DVDs of feature films, TV shows, and nonfiction.

 

The Hamilton Township Public Library also offers a Museum Pass Program that provides FREE passes to loan for eleven area museums.
