programs and events that will take place at the Library.
Hamilton
Township Library’s “Libraries Rock!” Summer Reading Program
In person registration Monday, June 11 thru
Saturday, July 21
During this
8-week read-at-home program, kids keep track of their reading, and then check
in at the library periodically to collect stickers and other small
incentives.
Camp Olden and the Civil War
Monday, June 4
7 p.m.
The
Historical Society of Hamilton Township presents Tom Glover, as he delves into
the library’s extensive local history collection for an on-screen digital
presentation of his Camp Olden and Civil War news articles and graphics. Free and open to the public.
Movie Matinees

The Camden and Amboy Railroad
Monday, June 11
7 p.m.
Join
geologist/historian Pierre Lacombe and railroad historian John Kilbride for an
exciting presentation on New Jersey’s first railroad, the Camden and Amboy. Our
presenters will discuss the railroads construction from 1830-34, with a focus
on its path through Hamilton Township. Free and open to the public.
Preschool Art Workshop with April Zay
Wednesday, June 13
10 – 11 a.m.
Kids
3 – 5 years old may attend.
Participants
will celebrate the start of summer by creating bright, colorful pictures of
cupcakes, using paint, paper and colorful puffy paint! Space is limited; registration begins Monday,

create maracas and drums! Suitable for

Fun with
Food
Wednesday, June 27
10 – 11 a.m.
Kids 5
years and older may attend.
Kids will listen to stories and assemble a pinwheel
sandwich (turkey, ham, and cheese) and a root beer float. If your child has food allergies, let us know
BEFORE registering. Space is limited;
in-person registration begins Monday, June 18.

Karate Free Demo Class
Friday, June 29
3 p.m.
Kids 4
years and older accompanied by an adult may attend.
Kids
will learn martial arts, safety, self-defense, and character enrichment, and

Hamilton Township Public Library is located at 1 Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. Way, Hamilton, NJ 08619 (behind the
Hamilton Township Police Division Headquarters and Municipal Court
Complex.
The
Library is open to residents Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
and on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.
Hamilton’s Library is closed on Sunday.
In
addition to over 181,000 books and 300 magazine and periodical subscriptions,
Hamilton’s Library also offers: Recorded
books on CD, Music CDs, eBooks and DVDs of feature films, TV shows, and
nonfiction.
The
Hamilton Township Public Library also offers a Museum Pass Program that provides FREE passes to loan for eleven
area museums.
If
you live, go to school or work in Hamilton, you are entitled to a free library card.
