Hamilton Calls on Its Resident Photographers to Submit Their Best Photos for the Township’s 2011 Calendar

(Hamilton)  -- Think you have a photograph that is good enough to appear in Hamilton’s upcoming 2011 Township Calendar?  Then send it in and have a chance to have your name appear along with your photograph in the Township’s official calendar, which will be mailed out to all Hamilton residents this winter!

Hamilton Mayor John Bencivengo is calling on residents to send in their best photographs of township parks, events or special places in “America’s Favorite Hometown”.  A committee of Township officials and residents will then judge the best photographs for inclusion in the 2011 Calendar.

Submitted photographs should ideally be of public places, landmarks or community events that take place in Hamilton throughout the year.  The contest judges will be specifically look for photographs that illustrate why Hamilton Township is such a special community to live in.  The judging committee will also look for photographs that fit into a specific month or seasonal theme.  Residents are discouraged to submit photographs that only feature one or a few individuals and do not highlight the above criteria.

Photographs must be submitted electronically via E-mail to DDeGregory@HamiltonNJ.com by November 9, 2010, and meet the quality standards of at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) or minimum dimensions of 3000 x 2400 pixels.   Participating residents will then be mailed a disclaimer form that must be signed and returned, giving full permission for the photograph to be used for the calendar.  Also, any person or private object (such as works of art) must have the permission of the works rightful owner.

“Last year, several residents provided outstanding photographs that were featured in our calendar, and I am eager to see the wonderful pictures we received this year,” says Hamilton Township Mayor John Bencivengo.  “It’s a great way for our residents to showcase their photographic talents!”

Local businesses that are interesting in advertising in the upcoming 2011 Township Calendar still have a chance to participate in this excellent opportunity to reach the 92,000 resident of Hamilton.  E-mail DDeGregory@HamiltonNJ.com for more information and details.
