A String of New Business Openings Mark the Holiday Season in Hamilton Township
Flurry of Activity is a Positive Sign for Hamilton’s Economy
Over the past month, a string of new business openings have taken place in Hamilton Township, indicating a positive sign for the local economy in “America’s Favorite Hometown.”
Just before Thanksgiving, both ‘HD Xperience’ and the ‘AT&T Global Wireless’ flagship store celebrated the openings of their new Route 33 locations in Hamilton. ‘HD Xperience’ offers a large selection of televisions, audio and home theater furniture and custom home entertainment installations, while ‘AT&T Global Wireless’ is an authorized AT&T retail location with more than 40 different wireless phones and a host of wireless accessories to choose from.
Then, in early December, Association Associates, Inc. hosted a grand opening ceremony for their 6,500 square foot office location in the Whitehorse Executive Center, located on Whitehorse-Mercerville Road. The organization specializes in providing various management services specifically to client associations.
The following week, in mid-December, Villa Romanza Ristorante Italiano opened its door at the location of the former Route 130 South American Grill site. The Italian restaurant seeks to provide its patrons with fine Italian dining for an affordable price.
And finally, just this week, Cheeburger Cheeburger celebrated its grand opening in the Shoppes at Hamilton, located along the US Highway 130 corridor. With locations in 20 states across the country, the franchise takes customers back to the 1950’s era in a setting featuring soda fountains, old-fashioned chair and booths and classic 1950’s furnishings, while allowing patrons to enjoy a variety of 100% all-natural angus beef burgers, sandwiches, milk shakes or malts and much more.
With these recent openings, Hamilton Township has a lot to be optimistic about with regards to its local economy.
“These are very positive signs for our local economy here in Hamilton Township,” says Mayor John Bencivengo. “We have been working hard to promote economic opportunities within our community and encourage local investment; and we are thrilled to witness these recent business openings. It means we are filling vacant locations, expanding job opportunities for our residents and watching as local commerce flourishes during time when the overall national economy continues to endure challenges.”
In addition to these openings, Hamilton is also witnessing further reinvestment within the community at the Hamilton Plaza location on Route 33, where the shopping center is in the process of a complete renovation that includes an expansion of the existing ShopRite, as well as new retail pad sites. It continues the trend of economic activity along Route 33 from prior months in which the corridor witnessed openings of a new First Choice Bank branch location, a Doctor’s Express urgent care facility at the Hamilton Shops and the opening of Barbara’s Hair Gallery located at the Shoppes at Nottingham Pointe.
Construction has also begun at a new location for Grand Bank at 607 Route 33. Additionally, the spring will bring the tear down and reconstruction of McDonalds at 410 Route 33 and the long anticipated start of the IHOP project.
“The excitement from our most recent business openings and current economic activity is something that I believe will continue into the upcoming New Year. Even with the progress that we have seen to date, many more opportunities exist for new businesses or commercial endeavors in Hamilton,” explains Mayor Bencivengo. “In the coming year, we will finalize our Master Plan update and embark upon additional efforts to bring outside investment into our community, as we work to keep our local economy moving in the right direction. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the economic action in ‘America’s Favorite Hometown.”
