Hamilton Township Helps Promote Domestic Violence Awareness with Womanspace for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

This month, Hamilton Township’s Bernard Foley Memorial Parks was decorated with teal lights and ribbons to help promote awareness of domestic violence for National Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  In the attached photograph below, Hamilton Township Mayor John Bencivengo joined with Mercer County Sherriff Jack Kemler, Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky, Mercer County Freeholders Pasquale "Pat" Colavita, Jr., John Cimino and Samuel T. Frisby, Assemblyman Dan Benson, Hamilton Chief of Police James W. Collins, members of Womanspace, a not-for-profit organization that provides a comprehensive array of services to individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence and dedicated to improving the quality of life for women and their families, and Womanspace Volunteer and Event Coordinator, former Councilwoman Eileen Thornton, for the “kick off” to this month long awareness initiative.   For more information about Womanspace and their efforts to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, visit the organizations website: www.womanspace.org
