12/4/2018 - Residents Interested in Serving on a Township Board or Commission Can Submit Application Online

Residents Interested in Serving on a Township Board or Commission Can Submit Application Online

Residents who are interested in serving on one of Hamilton Township’s Boards and Commissions can submit applications online.

By visiting the Township website ( HamiltonNJ.com ) and selecting the “eForms” section under “Featured Items”, residents will find the link “Citizen Leadership Form: Boards and Commissions” where they can fill out and submit an application (or Click Here):

Hamilton has several boards and commissions in which residents and community leaders voluntarily serve in specific capacities.  The majority of boards provide advice to the Municipal Government, while some serve as independent, autonomous boards that consider and vote upon applications.

Hamilton’s boards and commissions include (some do not currently possess vacant positions):

·         Board of Public Officers

·         Cultural Affairs & Performing Arts Commission

·         Economic Development Advisory Commission

·         Environmental Commission

·         Library Board of Trustees

·         Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse (Hamilton Alliance Against Substance Abuse)

·         Planning Board

·         Public Safety Advisory Commission

·         Shade Tree Commission

·         Special Needs Advisory Commission

·         Zoning Board of Adjustment

By navigating to the “Departments and Services” area on HamiltonNJ.com and selecting the “Boards and Commissions” drop down menu (left side of screen), residents can get an overview of each board’s purpose and existing vacancies.
