TRAFFIC NOTICE – Road Repaving Project on Whitehorse Ave (County Route 533) Between Arena Dr and Kuser Rd) Scheduled to Begin on or About Monday, May 6th

 

A Mercer County Government road milling and repaving project for on Whitehorse Ave (County Route 533) Between Arena Dr and Kuser Rd) is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, May 6, 2019 with an anticipated completion date of May 24, 2019, weather permitting.

Construction will occur between 9 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Normal traffic will resume all other times.  Mercer County Government proposes to complete the work as follows:

Stage 1: Arena Dr to Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Rd:  Single lane, single directional traffic will be maintained in the southbound direction.  Motorists travelling northbound would be directed to use Arena Dr to Gropp Ave to Englewood Blvd to Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Rd.          

Stage 2: Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Rd to Goeke Dr:  This section of Whitehorse Ave will be closed to through traffic.  Southbound traffic would be directed to use Goeke Dr to Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Rd.  Motorists travelling northbound would be directed to use Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Rd to Kuser Rd.          

Stage 3: Goeke Dr to Kuser Rd:  One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on one half of the road while work is being completed on the other side.  No detours would be in effect at this time.           

Stage 4: Whitehorse Ave to Klockner Rd:  Work will be completed using alternating traffic patterns and maintaining one lane in each direction.

Mercer County Government will post signs prior to the anticipated start date advising motorists of the upcoming road work and the potential for traffic delays.

This project is being completed by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
