11/27/2019 - World War II Monument to be Dedicated in Hamilton’s Veterans Park on Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

World War II Monument to be Dedicated in Hamilton’s Veterans Park on Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

Thanks to the generosity of the Mercer County Italian-American Festival Association and its President, John Scarpati, a memorial sculpture honoring our country’s World War II veterans will be officially unveiled on Saturday, December 7, 2019 (Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day), at 12 PM (Noon) inside the Kuser Road entrance to Veterans Park.

The World War II memorial sculpture was donated to Hamilton Township by the Mercer County Italian-American Festival Association.

During a brief ceremony, Italian-American Festival Association and Township officials will make remarks and acknowledge various organizations and entities that assisted in the project.

The new World War II monument is located near Hamilton’s United States Marine Corps memorial, which depicts the iconic raising of the U.S. Flag at Iwo Jima during World War II (photograph by Joe Rosenthal), as well as a second, newly installed World War II monument – donated by Siemens Demag Delaval Turbomachinery, Inc.
