“A Community of Neighbors” was what the front cover read.
The phrase appeared on the cover of 1985-1986 Hamilton Township Municipal Calendar.
In 2013, Hamilton will revive the theme for its Township Calendar; and officials are asking residents to begin taking photographs to submit showing why Hamilton Township is a “Community of Neighborhoods.”
Like the 1985-1986 calendar, each month of the 2013 calendar will feature photographs that represent some of the many neighborhoods that comprise Hamilton Township.
Submitted photographs should ideally be of landmarks, public places, scenery, or even homes that comprise each neighborhood. Residents are discouraged to submit photographs that only feature one or a few individuals and do not highlight the calendar’s theme. A committee of Township officials will select the best photographs for inclusion based upon the theme of Hamilton Township – A Community of Neighborhoods – and will credit the photographers.
As in past years, participating residents are asked to submit photographs with a signed disclaimer form, giving full permission for the photograph to be used for the calendar. Also, any photograph of any person or private object (such as works of art, property, home, etc.) must have the permission of the photographed person or the work’s rightful owner for use in the calendar [for example, picture of a sculpture requires the permission of its artist]. Permission forms will be available on Hamilton’s website, www.HamiltonNJ.com. (also available above in this news feed)
Photographs must be submitted electronically (via E-mail attachment) to DDeGregory@HamiltonNJ.com no later than Monday, October 1, 2012, and meet the quality standards of at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) or minimum dimensions of 3000 x 2400 pixels.
Each year, the Hamilton Township calendar is mailed to every household in the community. In the coming weeks, information for perspective advertisers will be available on Hamilton’s website, www.HamiltonNJ.com.
