University Heights Elementary School Celebrates 100th Day of School by Donating Supplies to Hamilton’s Animal Shelter

Today, Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly A. Yaede visited University Heights Elementary School to accept the school’s donation of food, toys and other supplies to benefit Hamilton Township’s Animal Shelter.  As part of the school’s pillars of character program, a PTA parent’s idea led University Heights Elementary School  to set out on a goal of collecting 100 items for Hamilton’s Animal Shelter in celebration of their 100th day of school.  University Heights Elementary School exceeded its own goal by collecting 237 items for the shelter, along with students making thank you notes for residents who adopt pets from Hamilton’s Animal Shelter.
