In ABC’s reality TV show The Taste, judges sample a spoonful of food from contestants before making their decision; and Hamilton residents were able to do the same by enjoying samples from some of Hamilton’s finest restaurants during this week’s annually-held food tasting event, the ‘Taste of Hamilton.’
The popular event, sponsored by Hamilton Township and its Economic Development Advisory Commission, took place at the Seward Johnson Center for Arts at Grounds For Sculpture on Monday, May 20th. For the affordable price of $25, guests were able to sample food offerings from Hamilton-based restaurants Blend Bar & Bistro, Italian Peoples Bakery, Jersey Girl Café, Killarney’s Publick House, Myilai Masala, Pete’s Steakhouse, Rosa’s Restaurant & Catering, Starbucks, The Stone Terrace by John Henry’s, Swal Dairy Ice Cream and Villa Romanza Ristorante Italiano.
During the event, Hamilton Township and its Economic Development Advisory Commission acknowledged the participating restaurants and host Grounds For Sculpture with certificates of appreciation and thanked the commission’s Primary Sponsors - Customers Bank, Ram Associates, Sovereign-Santander, Aqua New Jersey and Fornaro Francioso, LLC, as well as Event Sponsors - Grounds For Sculpture, Hamilton Dental Associates, First Choice Bank, MBI GluckShaw, Inc. and Villa Romanza Ristorante Italiano.
“Hamilton Township has been enjoying great economic successes with new businesses and the continued revitalization of underutilized commercial properties. And while aspects like our community’s great location, stable taxes, schools, parks and great neighborhoods are all contributing factors to attracting and retaining businesses, Hamilton’s great offering of restaurants and fine dining establishments are an important ingredient to our local economic successes,” said Hamilton Township Mayor Yaede A. Yaede. “The ‘Taste of Hamilton’ is a great opportunity to sample the wonderful food offerings that our residents and visitors from neighboring communities can enjoy at establishments all across our hometown. I hope and encourage residents and visitors to patronize all of our great restaurants in Hamilton Township and to discover why many consider Hamilton Township the ‘Restaurant Capital of Mercer County.’
