Hamilton Holds Free Rabies Clinic for Residents’ Dogs and Cats on Saturday, January 25th

Hamilton Township will hold its first free rabies immunization clinic of the year for residents’ dogs and cats on Saturday, January 25th at the McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue, between the hours of 9 AM and 12 PM (Noon).

Note for Directions: The McManimon Building at 320 Scully Avenue is located off of Olden Avenue, between Liberty Street and Cedar Lane, opposite the Olden Pharmacy.

As a courtesy, the clinic is open to pets of Township residents only (proof a residency is required), and is free of charge.  For residents utilizing this Hamilton Township service, all dogs must be leashed.  As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary.  All cats must arrive in a carrier.

“I urge all of our residents who are the owners of dogs or cats to take full advantage of our township’s free rabies clinics,” says Hamilton Township Mayor Kelly Yaede.
Following the January 25th clinic, Hamilton’s next rabies clinic will be held on February 22nd, followed by clinics taking place in March, June and September.

In response to the rabies epidemic in our wildlife, the New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every 2 years, even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period.  2014 Dog Licenses will not be issued if a pet’s rabies immunization expires before November 1, 2014.

The new 2014 Dog License Application is now available.  A copy of the form is in the center (inside the middle two pages of the "How Do I Get Rid Of It...??? insert section) of the 2014 Hamilton Township Calendar.  An electronic version of the 2014 Dog License Application is also available on the Township website (
