Hamilton Holds Free Rabies Clinic for Residents’ Dogs and Cats on Wednesday, March 12th

Hamilton Township will hold its next free rabies immunization clinic of the year for residents’ dogs and cats on Wednesday evening, March 12th at the McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue, between the hours of 5 PM and 7 PM.

Note for Directions: The McManimon Building at 320 Scully Avenue is located off of Olden Avenue, between Liberty Street and Cedar Lane, opposite the Olden Pharmacy.

As a courtesy, the clinic is open to pets of Township residents only (proof a residency is required), and is free of charge.  For residents utilizing this Hamilton Township service, all dogs must be leashed.  As a safety precaution, dogs should be muzzled, if necessary.  All cats must arrive in a carrier.

Following the March 12th clinic, Hamilton’s will hold second clinic this month on Saturday, March 22nd between the hours of 9 AM and 12 PM Noon at the McManimon Township Building

In response to the rabies epidemic in our wildlife, the New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every 2 years, even if the inoculation is good for a 3 year period.  2014 Dog Licenses will not be issued if a pet’s rabies immunization expires before November 1, 2014.

The new 2014 Dog License Application is now available.  A copy of the form is in the center (inside the middle two pages of the "How Do I Get Rid Of It...??? insert section) of the 2014 Hamilton Township Calendar.  An electronic version of the 2014 Dog License Application is also available on the Township website (www.HamiltonNJ.com)

Dog License Applications are Due by March 31st (by 4 PM)
