On Friday, May 4th, Hamilton Township Councilman Anthony Carabelli, Jr. joined Family Fun Hobbies with a ribbon-cutting of their expanded new location in the Court at Hamilton Station on Quakerbridge Road.
Family Fun Hobbies, a local game store, recently moved from its location on Route 33 to a larger 5,000 square foot space in The Court at Hamilton Station at 3100 Quakerbridge Road. The new, larger site makes this Hamilton business one of the largest hobby and game stores in New Jersey. Family Fun Hobbies offers a wide selection of merchandise not normally found in most big-box retail stores. They strive to carry a variety of merchandise to fill all hobby needs from board, card, miniature and role playing games, arts & crafts kits, jigsaw puzzles, science kits, plastic models, to the latest popular toys for kids and adults alike.
Rob Placer and his team at Family Fun Hobbies have been serving the community since 2009, making it the oldest hobby and game store in Mercer County and Central New Jersey. "Our motto has always been 'Hobbies, Games, Toys, and Fun for Everyone,' and we are ecstatic at this opportunity for continued growth, wider product diversity, as well as bigger and better community events with this much overdue transition," said Placer.
The new location also features a larger family fun space in the back of the store. Customers are welcome to use the area of tables and chairs to play games, build models, or work on any of their hobby interests. This space will also be used for Family Fun Hobbies' events, such as game nights, classes, and tournaments.
"Family Fun Hobbies opened their doors in 2009 and have grown to be a fun staple for people of all ages," stated Mayor Jeff Martin. "It speaks volumes about our community when a local business can grow, make New Jersey history, and chooses to do so here in Hamilton. I wish Rob and his team many more years of being able to bring joy to all who walk through their doors."
