Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update:

July 27, 2020:

Hamilton Township has become aware that some residents in a specific zip code may not have received their estimated 3rd quarter tax bill due to an issue with the USPS. If you have not received your estimated bill you can look up your bill on our website here or call HAMStat at (609) 586-0311 to have a duplicate bill sent.

Additionally, because of this issue the Township has extended the grace period an extra week from August 10th to August 17th. After August 17th interest will revert back to August 1st.

When the 2020 tax rate for Hamilton Township has been certified by the Mercer County Tax Board, hopefully by September, the Tax Collector will then send out reconciled bills for 4th quarter 2020 and 1st and 2nd quarter 2021. This reconciled bill will reflect the TOTAL taxes billed for the calendar year 2020.

Due to the pandemic, all municipal buildings are closed for daily operations to the public. Therefore, payments can either be:

  • Mailed to 2090 Greenwood Ave., PO Box 00150, Attn: Tax Office, Hamilton, NJ 08650-0150; or
  • Dropped off in our red drop box located at Town Hall which is accessible Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm; or
  • Paid online here.

Anyone wanting a receipt should include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please note that the estimated bill format is different from normal bills -- an example of an estimated tax bill can be found here.

June 19, 2020:

In light of the disruption caused by the Coronavirus outbreak, and consistent with guidance provided by the Division of Local Government Services, Hamilton Township has approved the issuance of ESTIMATED 3rd quarter tax bills.

The State of New Jersey has delayed the adoption of their budget until September 30, 2020, therefore the 2020 certified tax rate will not be available until after the statutory deadline to mail regular tax bills.

Please be advised that the Township has started to send out estimated 3rd quarter tax bills that will be due Aug 1, 2020 with a 10-day grace period. While this bill is an estimate, it still has the same status as a regular tax bill and may be paid without interest until Aug 10, 2020. After 8/10/20 interest will revert back to 8/1/2020. When the 2020 tax rate for Hamilton Township has been certified by the Mercer County Tax Board, hopefully by September, the Tax Collector will then send out reconciled bills for 4th quarter 2020 and 1stand 2nd quarter 2021. This reconciled bill will reflect the TOTAL taxes billed for the calendar year 2020.

The Township of Hamilton has closed all municipal buildings to the public. Therefore, payments can either be:

  • Mailed to 2090 Greenwood Ave., PO Box 00150, Attn: Tax Office, Hamilton, NJ 08650-0150; or
