Storm Update & Plowing Information

Thursday, March 5, 2015

  • Storm Information

As of the time of this E-mail Newsletter, weather forecasts are calling for snow to continue into the evening with accumulations of up to 8 inches possible.

  • Secondary Road Plowing

During snowfall, plowing crews will continue working to keep primary roads passable.

Following the end of snowfall, Hamilton Township's Department of Public Works anticipates beginning the plowing of secondary (neighborhood) roads late this evening, which is likely to continue overnight and throughout tomorrow (Friday, March 6th).

Secondary roads will not be down to the pavement after plowing due to cold temperatures.

  • Please Remove Automobiles from Roads, If Possible, as a Courtesy to Plowing Crews

To assist our plowing crews, please remove all automobile from the road, if possible.  This will help our plowing crews complete plowing faster and remove more snow from the road.

Thank you for your cooperation!

  • Snow Plow Sal App

The feature gives an estimation (plowing may occur prior to the listed time) of when your street (secondary road) will be plowed. Remember to enter your house number when entering your address.

PLEASE NOTE - Snow Plow Sal will NOT become active until after snowfall ends and when secondary road plowing begins.

PLEASE NOTE - Some areas may initially provide an estimate time of "TBD" (to be determined) until plowing begins in the first portion of an overall snow zone.  This helps to provide a more accurate estimation of when your street will be plowed.

  • Help Prevent Your Driveway from Being Plowing Back in by Snow Plows

Waiting until after your road is plowed to shovel your driveway apron is the best way to avoid your driveway being plowed back in.  If you choose to shovel your driveway apron before your road is plowed, the diagram in the following link is a helpful guide:  CLICK HERE TO VIEW
