On April 6, 2024 at approximately 7:40pm, Manuel Ramones-Vicuna, 24yoa male from Hamilton, was traveling westbound through the parking lot of the Independence Mall, located at 2465 S. Broad St, on a 2014 KTM 350 Off-Road motorcycle when he struck the guidewire to a telephone pole. Mr. Ramones-Vicuna was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by Officers Hendricksen, Mandelko, and Welsh from the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit.
