Robbery Arrest

Richard G. Halley
Hamilton, NJ — The Hamilton Police Division has arrested Richard G. Halley, a 54-year-old homeless man, in connection with a burglary that occurred on November 18, 2024.
At approximately 22:11 hours, officers responded to a burglary in progress call in the 300 block of Whitehead Road. The caller reported that a male suspect wearing a ski mask kicked in the door of a detached garage on the side of a residence. When confronted by the caller, the suspect pushed past the resident, taking several items (two electric bicycles).
Members of the Hamilton Police Division, along with the Division's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Unit, conducted an extensive search of the area. The UAV Unit was instrumental in locating the suspect.
Officer Todd Oakley piloted the UAV and directed officers to the suspect's position. Officers Jewell, Doan, McLaren, Hogan, C. Astbury, Guerieri, Sparano and Biondi, along with Sergeant Kevin Perkins, participated in the investigation and apprehension of the suspect.
Richard G. Halley was located and arrested without incident. He was transported to police headquarters and charged with robbery, theft, burglary, and criminal mischief.
