Hamilton Township and Greenspot, a national leader in developing, installing, and operating public EV charging infrastructure, are pleased to announce significant progress in their mission to electrify mobility in Hamilton Township.

Awarded through a competitive RFP, Greenspot has completed 16 new 60A level 2 charging stations at the Hamilton Senior Center, Nottingham Ballroom, Sayen House and Gardens, and Veterans Park at no cost to the Township. They have additionally added 8 new 200kW DC Fast Charging (DCFC) ports – the fastest charger ports Greenspot has deployed in any municipality in New Jersey to date.

These installations respond to New Jersey’s growing commitment to electric vehicles, including the state’s target of 330,000 registered EVs by the end of 2025 under the Drive Green NJ program. Greenspot, which operates in over 25 states, provides turn-key, end-to-end services: covering capital expenses, permitting, equipment, operations, maintenance, and 24/7 customer support—ensuring a reliable charging experience for drivers.

“Hamilton Township has long signaled that clean, sustainable infrastructure is a priority,” said Greenspot’s COO, Joe Desimone. “By deploying both Level 2 and DCFC charging at key civic and recreational sites, we give residents, visitors, and last-mile delivery services faster, more convenient EV charging options and help the Township meet its environmental goals. All of this infrastructure was developed and will be operated far into the future without using any taxpayer dollars.”

These new stations are now live. Key locations include the Senior Center, Nottingham Ballroom, Sayen House and Gardens, and Veterans Park, providing Hamiltonians with access to government, recreational, and public service venues.

“This partnership with Greenspot marks a major milestone in Hamilton Township’s commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking infrastructure,” said Mayor Jeff Martin. “By expanding access to EV charging throughout our community—at no cost to taxpayers—we’re making it easier for residents and visitors to choose cleaner transportation options. This is about building a greener Hamilton today and for generations to come.”

For Hamilton Township and Greenspot, this is more than just infrastructure—it’s about bridging policy goals with practical outcomes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and delivering climate action where residents can see and use it.
