The Hamilton Police Division’s Anti-Crime Unit is proud to announce the arrest of two parties following a lengthy investigation into narcotics distribution and weapons offenses in the community. On November 25, 2025, Kyle Eckel and Matthew Eckel of 218 and 231 Independence Avenue Hamilton, NJ were arrested and charged with multiple narcotic and weapons related offenses.

This investigation resulted in the successful execution of multiple search warrants. The search warrants led to Kyle Eckel being charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana (over 25 pounds), Oxycodone, Morphine, Xanax, Psilocybin Mushrooms and possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute in a school zone.  In addition, Kyle was charged with possession of a weapon (firearm), possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession of weapon (firearm) with connection to narcotic distribution, drug paraphernalia and money laundering.

Matthew Eckel was charged with possession with the intent to distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms, possession with the intent to distribute narcotics in a school zone, possession of weapons (firearms) in connection with narcotic distribution, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.

The Hamilton Township Police Division commends the dedication and teamwork of the Hamilton Township Police Anti-Crime Unit, Criminal Investigations Section, Special Weapons and Tactics Team, and K-9 Unit (Harv). The Division would like to send a special thank you to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for their assistance.
