Narcotics / Weapons Arrest
Benjamin Adams-Barnes
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, officers from the Hamilton Police Division arrested Benjamin Adams-Barnes, of 934 Lamberton Street, Trenton, NJ, and charged him with multiple narcotics and weapons offenses.
At approximately 1930 hours, Hamilton Police received an anonymous tip reporting a suspicious individual with a firearm at the 7-Eleven on Lalor Street. Responding officers located Adams-Barnes and conducted a safety pat-down, during which they recovered a .45-caliber handgun. A subsequent search incident to arrest led to the discovery of several blocks of suspected heroin.
Adams-Barnes was taken into custody without incident and transported to police headquarters for processing. Charges include unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and additional related offenses.
This arrest was the result of coordinated efforts between the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Hamilton Police Anti-Crime Unit, and Hamilton Police Patrol Officers - Basilico, Fratz, Piromalli and Zuzzio.
