Hamilton Township proudly welcomed Pulse, a new Lagree method fitness studio, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Mayor Jeff Martin and Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy joined owner Abby Payson and community members to celebrate the opening of Mercer County’s first Lagree method studio, located in the Briarwood Shopping Center at 2450 Kuser Road.
Pulse brings a modern, science-backed approach to fitness through the Lagree method, a workout often described as Pilates’ stronger, sweatier cousin. The technique focuses on slow, controlled movements under resistance for a full-body, high-intensity, low-impact workout, improving strength, endurance, and muscle tone without stressing the joints.
Owner Abby Payson, a former ballerina and medical esthetician, was inspired by the precision and discipline behind Lagree training. “I fell in love with the discipline behind every slow, controlled movement,” said Payson.
More than a fitness studio, Pulse was designed to be a community built on empowerment, grace, and support. With its luxury environment, expert instruction, and welcoming atmosphere, Pulse aims to deliver a transformative fitness experience that ignites confidence and radiance from the inside out.
Mayor Jeff Martin praised Pulse for contributing to Hamilton’s growing small business and wellness community, stating, “We’re thrilled to welcome Pulse to Hamilton. Abby’s passion for fitness and community embodies what makes Hamilton such a great place to live, work, and do business. Pulse offers something truly unique to Mercer County, and we’re proud to have them here.”
