Tax Assessment

The Tax Assessor’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the municipal tax burden is distributed fairly and equitably among all property owners.  The Assessor's office does not set tax rates or collect payments; rather, it determines the "Full and Fair Value" of every parcel of land and structure within the community.

Tax Appeals 

Before determining whether or not you wish to file an appeal, please make sure that you have received and reviewed your Tax Assessment Notice Postcard from the Tax Assessor to make sure your assessment information is correct. Tax Assessment Notice Postcards are mailed to Taxpayers at the end of January every year.

The deadline to file a tax appeal is Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
