Must be cut in four foot lengths, tied and bundled; weighing no more than 50 pounds; nails and screws must be removed.
Railroad ties are considered a Household Bulky Item. Household bulk waste collection services are offered to help residents with the occasional need for disposal of larger items or debris from small projects. Residents need to make other arrangements (get a dumpster or bagster) with the disposal company of their choice to dispose of debris from larger construction projects or home/garage/basement cleanouts.
On your second regular trash collection day of the week, you may place up to three bulk items at the curb. If you are going to use curbside pickup, you can only put three bulk items at the curb every second garbage day. Work by contractors will not be picked up.
