[ARCHIVED] Hamilton’s Economic Development Commission Provides Scholarships to Local High School Students

The Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission, chaired by Lori Danko, recently joined with Mayor Jeff Martin to present four Hamilton high school students with scholarships that will help support their pursuit of business-related degrees in college.

While the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC) works with Township officials to support continued progress in the local economy, it has also continued one annual tradition of giving back to our hometown’s future business leaders. Using proceeds from its annual events, the HTEDAC provided $500 scholarships to recipients from the four high schools in Hamilton. The students were selected by HTEDAC’s Scholarship Committee from among the graduating seniors planning to study a business-related field in college.

This year’s recipients are Hamilton High West’s Victoria Avila Patino, Nottingham High School’s Warren Cox, Steinert High School’s Daniella Conte, and Trenton Catholic Preparatory Academy’s Sidney Douglas.

“This year’s class of scholarship award recipients is another fine example of the outstanding high school students across our community,” expressed Mayor Jeff Martin. “I want to also recognize and thank the dedicated members of our Economic Development Advisory Commission for continuing this annual scholarship program.”

The Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC) is an official municipal government commission comprised of volunteers that holds many events and programs throughout the year to assist Hamilton’s efforts to support economic development across the community. In addition to the scholarship program, the Commission holds various job fairs, an annual business awards dinner, and assists in other projects and initiatives. Through sponsorships and private dollars, the Commission works to conduct such efforts without a cost to Hamilton taxpayers. Residents can learn more about the Commission by visiting HamiltonNJ.com/HTEDAC.
