[ARCHIVED] Cheers to a New Era: Olde Nottingham Tavern Unveils State-of-the-Art Indoor-Outdoor Patio

Nottingham Tavern grand opening photo with group of people and mayor martinThe Olde Nottingham Tavern, affectionately known as “the Nott” and a beloved Hamilton landmark, celebrated a significant milestone last week with the official opening of its new, state-of-the-art indoor-outdoor patio. The grand event was attended by local dignitaries, including Mayor Jeff Martin, Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo, and Assemblywoman Tennielle McCoy, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the historic establishment.

Under the new ownership of husband-and-wife team, Sam and Lucy Moscarello, the “the Nott”, has been carefully revitalized to preserve its longstanding community tradition. Since taking over the historic establishment in 2023, the Moscarello’s have added a brand new kitchen, a front dining room for private events and an outdoor area. The latest addition, the new indoor-outdoor patio features beautiful, exposed wood, elevated ceilings, a new bar, and modern amenities including mounted TV’s and heaters, alongside the addition of a new, dedicated pizza oven.

Co-owner, Sam Moscarello, who brings deep culinary expertise from his experiences across the country—from Los Angeles to the East Coast—has curated a fresh menu and vibe that allows long-time guests to reminisce about old times while creating new memories in the revitalized historic building.

“We are excited to bring a full menu with great food, drinks, and an atmosphere that’s truly family-oriented,” said co-owner Lucy Moscerello. “When you’re looking for a good time, just ‘meet me at the Nott.’”

Guests at the ribbon cutting had the opportunity to tour the redesigned interior, experience the updated offerings, and celebrate the next chapter of a Hamilton staple. The Moscarello’s look forward to welcoming patrons, longtime fans and first-time visitors alike, into the renewed Old Nottingham Tavern.

“The Olde Nottingham Tavern is a cornerstone of our community's history, and the Moscarellos have done a spectacular job breathing new life into it. This investment is not just in a building, but in our local economy and the quality of life for Hamilton residents. We are proud to support this local business and look forward to the many new memories that will be made at ‘the Nott’,” stated Mayor Martin.
