[ARCHIVED] Hamilton Township to Celebrate Annual National Night Out with the Hamilton Police Division

Hamilton Township’s National Night Out is right around the corner! Residents get ready for yet another unforgettable night of fun, food, music and most importantly, community building with the Hamilton Police Division. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 1st from 5PM to 8PM at Veteran's Park, located at Southside Entrance on Kuser Road.

National Night Out is an annual community-building event established in 1994 that is celebrated by millions of people across the United States. It is a chance for residents to unite and engage with local law enforcement under positive circumstances while aiming to make neighborhoods safer and better to live in. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the Hamilton Police Division, Hamilton Division of Fire, and other Township personnel. This family-oriented event will also offer attendees a chance to check out Township Vehicles used day to day at the touch-a-truck section.

There will be four food trucks, each serving up delicious items available for purchase, including Mission BBQ who will be giving away a limited number of free sliders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pretzels and ice cones will be provided to all attendees at no cost thanks to the Hamilton Police Division. Everyone can participate in games with police officers and a charity dunk tank which will feature Mayor Martin and other officers from the Hamilton Police Division.

In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to meet the Sheriff's Department, see special K-9s, and witness a helicopter landing presented by the National Guard. Residents can also take advantage of the medicine drop-off on the premises, where they can give unused prescriptions to the Hamilton Police Division for disposal.

According to Mayor Martin, "National Night Out is an excellent opportunity for residents to come together and celebrate our community. It is a chance for everyone to bond with our law enforcement and gain a better appreciation for what they do to keep our streets safe. This year's event is packed with fun, educational, and engaging activities for the entire family!"

Don’t miss out on this enriching community experience. The township looks forward to seeing everyone on August 1st.
