Founded by Carlo Vitale in 2011, Vitale Inspection Services is built on decades of experience in residential construction and a steadfast commitment to integrity, communication, and client service. Carlo, who began learning construction alongside his father at a young age, went on to expand his expertise into the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC fields before launching his own company. During the event, Carlo expressed deep gratitude to his family, clients, and team for their ongoing support. Mayor Martin joined residents and community members to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of 21 Club Barber Shop, located in the Dover Park Shopping Center in Hamilton. Owned and operated by father-and-son team Semaj and Saurel Dastinot, who celebrated the opening of their long-envisioned business surrounded by family, friends, and supporters.

As the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC) continues its mission to support local business growth and community development, it also remains dedicated to investing in the township’s future leaders.

In a proud annual tradition, the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC), led by Chairperson Lori Danko, joined Mayor Jeff Martin to present four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from each of Hamilton’s high schools. Funded through proceeds from HTEDAC’s annual events, these scholarships were awarded to students selected by the Commission’s Scholarship Committee based on their plans to pursue business-related degrees in college.

This year’s recipients represent each of the township's four high schools – Hamilton High West’s Jaela Rivera, Nottingham High School’s Catalina Holliday, Steinert High School’s Giovanni Conte, and Thive Charter School’s Domenic Lipari.  

“This year’s scholarship recipients reflect the outstanding caliber of young talent we’re fortunate to have here in Hamilton,” said Mayor Jeff Martin. “I commend these students for their achievements and aspirations, and I thank the members of HTEDAC for their continued commitment to fostering future business leaders through this important program.”

Mayor Jeff Martin joined owner Juan Pelaez and members of the local community on Thursday, May 1st, to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Angie’s Luncheonette 2, the area’s newest go-to destination for breakfast and lunch.

Located in Dover Park Plaza at 23 Sunnybrae Boulevard, the new restaurant represents a fresh chapter for the Pelaez family following the unfortunate loss of the original Angie’s Luncheonette in Bordentown City, which was destroyed by fire late last year. Plans to reopen the Bordentown location are already underway.

“We’re beyond grateful for the community’s support throughout everything,” said Juan Pelaez. “We can’t wait to serve both new and familiar faces.”

The event drew enthusiastic supporters and loyal customers, many of whom have been following Angie’s since its early days. Attendees were treated to a preview of the signature breakfast and lunch fare that helped make the original location a beloved community staple.

Hearten LLC’s Hamilton Day Program, located at 2275 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Suite #3, Hamilton, NJ 08619, is dedicated to empowering young adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 2023, the organization provides a supportive environment that promotes independence through behavior support, vocational training, community engagement, and daily living skills development.

The Hearten Day Program, launched in September 2024, is the organization’s flagship initiative. Staffed by a team of professionals, including a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), the program offers more than just daily activities—it creates a dynamic space where young adults with autism can grow, explore their interests, and develop the skills necessary for independent living.

Mayor Jeff Martin expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Hearten’s Day Program to Hamilton Township. The work they are doing to support young adults with developmental disabilities is invaluable. Located in the Concord Square Shopping Center on Route 33, P23 Tea is more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s a warm, welcoming space designed to create unforgettable tea experiences. The café offers a delightful selection of teas, milk teas, and locally sourced desserts, all served in a cozy atmosphere perfect for both adults and children. Specializing in private tea parties, P23 Tea caters to a wide range of events, from children’s tea parties to adult gatherings.

The café is the brainchild of owner, Dandra Henriques, who has spent years dreaming of bringing a unique tea experience to her community. "I had always dreamed of opening a café but never took the leap," said Dandra Henriques. For 20 years, Dandra worked as a hair stylist, and over the last four years, owned a local Hamilton hair salon. As a single mother of four, it was challenging to venture into something new. Kaushal and Krishna lived in Flemington for 15 years, where they operated a family store, fostering a strong community connection. Bent Iron Brewing, located on Extonville Road, has opened as Hamilton’s first brewery. Bent Iron Brewing Company was an idea that the founders Peter Brittain, Jon Kanuck, and Dave Sass, created over firepits and cold beers in 2020.  The three founders then brought their idea to life when they hired Dave Ascione as Head Brewer.

The 5,000-square-foot barn, located on a 55-acre farm, features a tasting taproom where beers are brewed on-site and a sizable outdoor seating space with a walkable hop yard and fire pits. The facility also offers a private room for events and beer on the go. 

Brittain, Kanuck, and Sass, along with the help of their wives, have made their plans a reality. They aspired to create a truly unique destination experience by offering top-notch craft beers in a fun, welcoming, and wide-open farm setting.

Hamilton Township Mayor Jeff Martin and Councilman Anthony Carabelli were present for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the Dwier Center, the new home of the Hamilton Police Athletic League (PAL). Also in attendance were Chief Ken DeBoskey and members of the Hamilton Police Division; Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri and members of the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office; County Executive Dan Benson; and representatives from Congressman Andy Kim's office and Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy's office. 

The new center, located at 392 Church Street in the Groveville section of Hamilton, will house the organization's various programs and allow the organization to launch new programs and activities. It consists of three activity rooms, one designated with wrestling mats and one designated with classroom-style seating, TV, and whiteboards, an outdoor playground, a small prep kitchen, and storage for program equipment. This is the first facility PAL has called 'home' in the organization's history.  Until now, they have had to rent space at numerous locations throughout the township for practices, meetings, and programs.

Since its establishment in 1949, Hamilton PAL has been a pillar of the community, serving its residents for 75 years. The diverse programs offered by the PAL include Safety Town, Wrestling, Basketball, Field Hockey, Cheerleading, Street Hockey, and Twirling. The Commission, chaired by Lori Danko, recently joined with Mayor Jeff Martin to present four Hamilton high school students with scholarships to help support their pursuit of business-related degrees in college.

The HTEDAC, with the funds raised from its annual events, provided $750 scholarships to students from the four high schools in Hamilton. These students, selected by the HTEDAC’s Scholarship Committee, are graduating seniors passionate about studying business-related fields in college. This year’s recipients are Hamilton High West’s Ashley Salguero, Nottingham High School’s Angelina Violi, Steinert High School’s Teresa M. Loh, and Trenton Catholic Academy’s Luisa Bolanos Vega.  

“This year’s class of scholarship award recipients is another fine example of the outstanding high school students across our community,” says Mayor Jeff Martin.  “I want to also recognize and thank the dedicated members of our Economic Development Advisory Commission for continuing this annual scholarship program.”

Hamilton Township Mayor Jeff Martin was present to welcome Big Town Bar and Liquors with a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Located in the Quakerbridge Plaza Shopping Center at 3800 Quakerbridge Road, Big Town Bar and Liquor is the first of its kind in the shopping center. The store will not only offer a wide array of liquor, wine, and beer but will also offer customers the ability to enjoy a drink, featuring a square bar with seating in the center, equipped with six flat-screen TVs.
