Economic Development

The Division of Economic Development's mission is to improve the commercial tax base and job opportunities for our residents by attracting new diverse businesses to our municipality and maintaining strong relationships with existing businesses while balancing our business needs with those of the community. The Division of Economic Development is responsible for:

  • Businesses in HamiltonAttracting new quality ratables to expand the township's revenue base while providing improved employment opportunities for residents and enhancing the quality and variety of goods and services offered to the community.
  • Coordinating efforts to enable established businesses to continue to thrive and expand as business residents of the community.
  • Establishing and maintaining communications with the township's business community so as to optimize the township's economic development and quality of life.
  • Establishing initiatives to encourage a strong and diversified local economy.

Certificate of Insurance

Effective November 3, 2022, P.L. 2022, c.92, requires business owners and rental unit owners to maintain certain liability insurance policies and are to annually register the certificate of insurance (COI) with the municipality in which the business, rental units, or multi-family home is located. Business owners and rental unit owners are to submit COI’s to Hamilton Township via email.
