Hamilton Township's Division of Economic Development welcomes the opportunity to assist businesses who may be interested in discussing the distinct advantages of locating in Hamilton Township or about how business can expand and improve business in our community.
The Division of Economic Development's mission is to improve the commercial tax base and job opportunities for our residents by attracting new diverse businesses to our municipality and maintaining strong relationships with existing businesses while balancing our business needs with those of the community. The Division of Economic Development is responsible for:
- Attracting new quality ratables to expand the township's revenue base while providing improved employment opportunities for residents and enhancing the quality and variety of goods and services offered to the community
- Coordinating efforts to enable established businesses to continue to thrive and expand as business residents of the community
- Establishing and maintaining communications with the township's business community so as to optimize the township's economic development and quality of life
- Establishing initiatives to encourage a strong and diversified local economy

Full-Time Land Use Coordinator
As part of the Department of Community Planning and Compliance, Hamilton Township's Land Use Coordinator is a full-time official who can greatly assist business applicants who must appear before either the Hamilton Township Zoning Board of Adjustment or the Hamilton Township Planning Board by providing them with board information and procedural guidance.

The Hamilton Partnership
The Hamilton Partnership is intended as a public-private partnership in the truest sense where local government and the business leadership can contribute their experience and work together in a single organization to carry out programs designed to aid needed industrial, commercial and economic development projects within Hamilton Township and facilitate overall business growth.

Shop Hamilton
Shop Hamilton is a subset of the Hamilton Partnership and has been formed to network and to share ideas on how to grow the Shop Local campaign in Hamilton, New Jersey. We have joined together over the past 3 years to develop expectations, set goals and work to accomplish them for the good of the businesses and organizations located in Hamilton.

Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission (HTEDAC)
The Hamilton Economic Development Advisory Commission was established by the Hamilton Township Administrative code as an advisory body to the Mayor and Township Council through interaction with the Hamilton Office of Economic Development. Commission members are volunteers appointed by the Mayor. Guidelines based on current objectives of the Township Government are provided by the Mayor and the Township Council.
Commission members meet regularly serving in an advisory capacity by offering information, insight, and advice regarding the economic growth and stability of Hamilton Township. Specific tasks which are responsive to the Township Government's objectives and the best interests of the people of Hamilton Township are determined, assign and fulfilled by the board members of the Hamilton Township Economic Development Advisory Commission.
